Our Vision

Whether in a school, youth movement, sports team, military unit, nursing home, or workplace, our vision is to help groups become environments that promote growth- where every member feels safe, included, and supported.

Our Vision and Goals

Matzmichim Academy was founded in 2004 with the goal of reducing pain and suffering in classrooms across Israel. As our work demonstrated meaningful results among tens of thousands of educators, children, and youth, we expanded the model to additional fields and diverse populations, including companies, local authorities, informal education settings, parents, military units, and senior communities. Wherever groups exist, the same principle applies - positive group norms can be intentionally shaped to support growth.

The Matzmichim model was developed through a combination of research-based knowledge and extensive field experience. From its early stages, the organization collaborated with international partners and drew on established theories and leading researchers to build an effective and reliable methodology, including AVP (nonviolent conflict resolution), IIRP (restorative practices), Gewalt Academy (violence prevention), and the work of Prof. Robert Faris (UC Davis), among others.

The unique Matzmichim model has been examined through research and has demonstrated measurable results in reducing aggression within groups and shifting group norms (Assor, 2023).

Over the years, the Matzmichim approach has become a sought-after framework for hundreds of trainees each year, who are equipped with practical tools to foster a positive climate in their professional settings.

In recognition of its innovative contribution to addressing social challenges, Matzmichim has received awards and recognition in Israel and internationally.
